Waking up from a dream of fairy-tales to a different reality is how most people may be feeling upon completion of a vacation in Florida, particularly in the kingdom of Walter Disney.
Orlando is a place where landscapes and characters created only in imagination are brought to life. From Micky Mouse to Harry Potter, from Pleasure Island to Hogwarts, figures and lands that once existed in the ancient media, conjured up collectively in imaginative human minds over the centuries, are realities--at least transiently where visiting tourists are mesmerized in those enchanted realms. One central theme underlying most of the parks in Orlando is that having and chasing a dream is not only possible but also what makes life better; that our imagination and reality can be one; that we should never give up hope despite misfortunes and adversities. Those powerful notions, embedded in many cultures, are presented vividly in unison, in varied forms of toys, gifts, books, stories, rides, shows, movies, stage-plays, dressed-up characters, rooms, buildings and streets. To many, staying in Disney parks may be more than a vacation. It is an experience that renews hope and faith.

The reality is and will always be different from the version created in imagination. But reality can be changed and made close to or even better than the imagined. We may feel that we just woke up from a dream to the reality. However, we should also keep in mind that reality can also be made dream-like if we don't let our dreams slip away.
